How to read this

Hyperliquid's prices refresh once an hour, every day of the week. Each bar compares the price on Hyperliquid now with Hyperliquid's own price at 4:00 PM ET on Friday, Oct 30, 2026, the last U.S. stock market close. Both prices come from Hyperliquid, so the bar shows how far trading there has moved since that close.

The last IEX price is a separate check: the stock's last trade on IEX at or before 4:00 PM ET, shown with its own date. IEX posts each day's file the next day, so that date can be one session earlier than the close above.

Who's paying to hold these bets?

How to read this

Every hour, traders holding these bets pay each other a small fee called funding. When the price on Hyperliquid sits above its reference price, people betting on a rise (longs) pay people betting on a fall (shorts). When it sits below, shorts pay longs. A large rate usually means a lot of traders are on one side, and everyone on that side keeps paying it for as long as they hold.

How to read this

This is the total money in open bets, long and short combined. It shows how much money is behind each market's price. A big move with little money behind it says less than the same move in a market holding a lot of money. The funding section shows which way that money leans.

How to read this

Each week we compare Hyperliquid's last weekend price with the stock's first IEX trade on Monday at or after 9:30 AM ET. Over many weeks, this shows how closely weekend prices have tracked where the stock actually opened. Prices can jump at the open, which is a risk for anyone holding a leveraged bet over the weekend.

Stock prices come from IEX's daily historical files, posted after each trading day. Index, gold and silver use ETFs that track them, so their levels differ from the perp. Oil shows the EIA's daily spot price with its date; the perp tracks futures, so the two differ.

How to read these numbers together

The real market is shut for 18 of these 18 markets right now, so there's no live exchange price to check them against. The three numbers below make the most sense read together.

Micron has moved +1.34% on Hyperliquid since Fri, Oct 30, 4:00 PM ET, measured against Hyperliquid's own price at that time. The real market can open at a different price, and the weekend check on this page records how close past weekends came.

The team that listed each market sets its reference price, per Hyperliquid's HIP-3 docs. The last IEX price for each stock, with its own date, is in the full table. IEX posts each day's file the next day, so that date can be a session earlier than the close used for the move.

Silver has the highest funding: +22.58% a year at the last 24 hours' average rate. That means traders betting on a rise pay those betting on a fall every hour.

Alphabet has $282.0M in open positions, 56% of its $500.0M cap, as listed in Hyperliquid's API.

For oil, the comparison price is the EIA's daily spot price, shown with its date. The perp tracks futures, so the two prices differ.

Questions

What is a perp?

A perp (perpetual futures contract) tracks a price and never expires. On Hyperliquid, some perps track U.S. stocks, indexes, gold and oil. You hold a contract, and you never own the stock itself.

What is funding?

Funding is a payment between the two sides of a perp that keeps its price close to the asset it tracks. On Hyperliquid it's paid every hour. When the perp trades above that price, traders betting on a rise pay those betting on a fall. When it trades below, the payment flips.

Why do these prices move when Wall Street is closed?

Hyperliquid trades around the clock, while U.S. stock exchanges close at night and on weekends. While exchanges are shut, there's no live exchange price to compare against.

What does “since the last close” mean?

It's how far each perp's price has moved since 4:00 PM ET on the last U.S. trading day. It describes what has already happened, and it can differ from where the real market opens.

Why SPY, QQQ, GLD and SLV?

We don't have a license to publish index levels. These ETFs track the S&P 500, the Nasdaq-100, gold and silver. IEX lets anyone share its historical trade data as long as they credit IEX. Their prices differ from the index level, so we compare moves in %.

How current is the data?

Hyperliquid prices, funding and open positions refresh once an hour. IEX stock prices come from IEX's daily historical files, which IEX posts after the trading day. EIA oil spot prices are shown with their date.

Sources and method

Hyperliquid: Hyperliquid public info API only (perpDexs, metaAndAssetCtxs, fundingHistory, candleSnapshot), refreshed hourly. Mark, oracle and mid prices, funding and open interest are copied as published.
Reference: Stocks: the last IEX trade at or before 4:00 PM ET on the last session (IEX HIST, T+1, IEX-only, extended-hours trades excluded). Index and metal perps: an ETF stand-in (SPY, QQQ, GLD, SLV), compared by % move because the levels differ. Oil: EIA daily spot (direct from EIA), labeled approximate.
Gap: Gap vs reference = (perp mark − reference) ÷ reference × 100, 2 decimals, shown only when the reference is the same instrument and from the last session. Move since close (move_since_last_close_pct) = perp mark now vs Hyperliquid's own price at the last NYSE close (perp_at_last_close.px: the 1-minute candle ending at 4:00 PM ET, or 1:00 PM ET on early-close days, on last_close.date). It does not use the IEX or EIA reference.
Funding: Hourly funding rate as published; paid every hour. The annualized figure is arithmetic (× 24 × 365) and describes the current rate only. 24h and 7d means come from fundingHistory.
Usual range: 10th to 90th percentile of RogueIQ's hourly snapshots (linear interpolation), over the last 30 days. Shown only once there are at least 120 observations spanning 7 days; until then the page and API say how much history exists.
Open interest: Open interest in contracts and in USD (contracts × oracle price), with the deployer's streaming OI cap from perpDexs.
Sessions: NYSE regular hours and holidays (incl. 1 PM early closes) for stocks and index perps; CME Globex hours (Sun 6 PM-Fri 5 PM ET, daily 5-6 PM break) for metals and oil.
Scorecard: Each weekend: the perp's 1-minute candle ending Sunday 7:00 PM ET vs Friday's IEX close, compared with Monday's first IEX trade at or after 9:30:00 ET. Moves under ±0.05% count as flat. Stats appear after 8 weekends. Oil is left out. History starts at launch; no backfill.
