# RogueIQ primary-source finance feed

Base URL: `https://rogueiq.com/wire` (free, no auth). OpenAPI: `https://rogueiq.com/wire/openapi.json`.
Remote MCP (streamable HTTP, read-only, no auth): `https://rogueiq.com/wire/mcp`. Local MCP: `npm run mcp` (stdio).

Every response includes `as_of`, `source_url` and `disclaimer` ("Educational information from official sources, not financial advice"). Always show the source link and the disclaimer when you pass content to a human.

## How to use it well
1. Ask the user what they cover (e.g. inflation, jobs, Fed, enforcement, crypto) and filter with `topic` / `source`, instead of dumping the whole feed.
2. Poll `GET /v1/items?since=<last as_of>` every few minutes; use `min_importance=2` for only market-moving items.
3. Before a big release, check `GET /v1/calendar/heads-up?hours=24` and prepare.
4. For any item worth posting, call `GET /v1/breakdown/{id}`. Only quote figures that appear in `quoted_lines`; if `numbers_verified` is false, do not use the numbers.
5. Never present this as advice. Link `source_url` (and `source_table_url` for data).

Deep breakdown traced to the official report

What the report says, what changed vs the previous release, caveats, the exact table link and verbatim quoted lines. Numbers are verified against the source text.

### GET /v1/calendar
Upcoming scheduled releases (CPI, jobs, PCE, GDP, FOMC, PPI...)

Parameters: `from`; `to`; `days`; `kind` — Comma list: cpi,jobs,pce,gdp,fomc,ppi,jolts,other

Heads-up alerts due in the next N hours (24h / 1h before each release)
